The source code for the Rackspace Cloud iPhone app is now available on GitHub. If you have the iPhone SDK, feel free to download it if you want to track the progress of new features as they’re developed, or if you have a good idea and you’d like to pitch in!
It’s out in the App Store now, so try it out and let me know what you think! I’m already well under way with version 1.1.
I have been hard at work on a new iPhone app for the Rackspace Cloud.
It helps you manage Cloud Servers and Cloud Files in your Rackspace Cloud account. When the API is released, I will submit this to the App Store and blog/tweet again when it’s released.
I could tell you all about the features, [...]
It should be available within a few hours of this post. (The amount of time between the “Approved” email and actually being on the App Store somewhat varies.)
Anyway, all I ever talk about on this blog is the Slicehost iPhone apps. While I find them interesting and love them very much, is there [...]
Slicehost Pro 1.4 is on the way! I submitted it to Apple tonight, so hopefully we’ll see it on the App Store very soon. Here’s what’s new:
- much nicer Slices view
- select slice IPs when editing DNS records
- API Host preference key for people who don’t use api.slicehost.com
I’ve been hard at work on Slicehost Pro 1.4 … there’s some nice improvements on the way, but one of my personal favorites is the new Slices view. It’s prettier, and more useful! Here’s a screen shot via Cloud Files:
And while we’re at it, here’s a fun Slicehost logo my brother made to [...]
I usually only blog about my Slicehost apps, but I figured I’d say something about Spinnaz: a new app I released yesterday in the Entertainment genre. It’s all about putting a little bling on your iPhone
It’s not so much useful like the Slicehost tools, but I’m releasing it to see how many [...]
I have submitted Slicehost Pro 1.3 to the App Store. The new features are:
A 45 second connection timeout (instead of 5 seconds). This will help people who are in places far away from Slicehost (like Australia, where I’m hearing of 9 second load times for the slices list)
Duplicate DNS records. You can [...]
Today I’m working on Slicehost Pro version 1.3. I have a handful of features I want to add to this release, and the first of the those is to replicate the DNS zone duplication feature of the SliceManager. With this, you can potentially avoid typing out all of your DNS records for a [...]
Slicehost Pro has been approved by Apple! You should see the updates soon. Now, on to new features
