Rackspace Cloud 1.1 iPhone Screen Shots
Here are a couple of screen shots from the first update to the iPhone app. I’m still working on it, so I’m not sure when the first update will be submitted to Apple.
The majority of the effort is going into improving support for Cloud Files.
Looking forward to seeing the new version - but I have to tell you I’m having a ton of fun with the current one.
Will we be able to “browse” our Cloud Files directories? i.e. if there are folders in a container, will we be able to drill down into them rather than just seeing files in one big list like it is now:
folder1
folder1/file1
folder1/file2
folder2
folder2/file1
folder2/file2
etc etc…
Also, will the preview work for non-image files, i.e. PDFs, documents, mp3s, video?
At this point, I’m not doing the folder1/file1 style navigation, but I think that’s a good idea so I will include it. I’m not sure yet if that will make it into the 1.1 update. If it doesn’t, it’ll be in 1.2.
I’m testing preview to support as many file formats as possible. So far, images are all good, but I expect PDF and documents to work as well. As for audio and video, support will be added, but I’m not certain if it will make it in 1.1 or not.
