Unfortunately, some people have been experiencing crashes with the Slicehost and Slicehost Pro iPhone apps. For most people (including me), this was never an issue. But I’ve found what causes the problem: having multiple IP addresses on a Slice.

In development, I was using my account (which only had one IP per slice), and to test having multiple IPs, I simulated it after calling the API, to make sure the UI would render correctly. But I never tested having multiple IP addresses in the XML document from Slicehost. I have since added an IP to one of my slices and verified that it indeed causes the app to crash.

I’m working on fixing this bug now and will submit an update to the App Store as soon as it’s ready. I’m very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused any of you.

Also, if your app is crashing and you don’t have multiple IPs, please let me know, as this is the only scenario in which I have ever seen the app crash.
